This is Dusty at 9 months old. He's very hard to photograph - if the pose is good, the light is bad, or he moves, or whatever. Here at least you get an idea of Dusty's profile and his color.
Dusty's a bit larger than his older brother Kelly - he weighs about 8 pounds at 9 months. Everything about Dusty is long - long face, long legs, long body, long tail - everthing is in balance. Dusty's back, legs and tail are a very dark charcoal grey, and he has great ticking. But most of all I love that face!

Update June 2002: Dusty has gone to live with some friends of ours who just love Somalis! With 2 young boys, Dusty is getting lots of attention and affection.
Finally, February 2003, and we have new Dusty photos. We had some trouble with red-eye from the flash and lighting - and the fact that Dusty really didn't want his picture taken today - but we managed to get a few shots.
At almost 3 years old, Dusty is a very handsome cat. He still thinks he's a kitten tho! He has an amazing amount of energy, but he still loves to join his mom on the bed while she's reading a book, just to relax for a while. I figured that since he was neutered he probably would have gotten a bit chunky, like some cats do. He's heavier, but it's all muscle! He's still about as sweet as can be, loves to sit in laps and give headbutts.
