Here are more photos of Scarlet's babies born in August 2006.
9 weeks old
Here we have the boy on the left, girl on the right.  They are having a blast playing with interactive toys like feathers on fishing poles or sticks.
This little guy is so fast it's amazing.  When he's trying to bat at a toy, his little paws move so fast I can barely see them.  He is better at posing for the camera, too.  He will sit still, while his sister walks right up to the camera, ruining the shot.
We took more photos of the girl because she wouldn't hold still for any of them!  She's wearing a collar so we can tell them apart in the photos.

These guys explore everything, and everything that moves is a toy.

Here is our little boy.  He's not so little anymore!  He's quite big for his age, with very long legs.  In these photos he is crouching, waiting to pounce on the toy.  His head is quite mature, he probably won't look much different from this as an adult - just bigger!
Above and below is our little girl.  She has quite dark and striking black markings on her face and back.  We are hoping she will develop depth of color to go with the markings.  Although she's extremely busy, like most Somali kittens, she's pretty laid back.  She'll let me pick her up and lay her on her back, and "stretch" her like a show cat.  We're hoping she'll be a good show cat like her dad was.
We have finally decided on a name for our little
girl - we will call her "Minuet."  You can see some adult photos here.
