Creme Brulee ("Peanut") had 2 babies, a fawn boy and a fawn girl. Unfortunately, Peanut didn't have any milk at first, so I hand fed the kittens. By the time we got Peanut's milk to come in using Marshmallow Root supplements, the kittens wouldn't nurse on her. Seems they had tried for so long and gotten nothing, so they didn't think it was worth the effort. Since they weren't nursing, Peanut was anxious and nervous and wouldn't cuddle them and take care of them.
After 2 weeks, another girl who was due to give birth a week later, started producing milk, so I put Peanut's kittens with her. The girl nursed a little, but the boy really didn't get the hang of it. By the time the new kitten was born, Peanut's 2 were still very small, so I left them with the new mom and her kitten, and momcat took care of them wonderfully. I still had to hand feed them every day, but at least their other needs were being taken care of. I started taking them to work with me so I could feed them more often during the day. They went on trips with me and stayed in the hotel. They had lots more handling then kittens of that age normally do!
Now that they are 4 months old, they are a bit small for their age, but not by much! The boy is big enough to be neutered, the girl needs another week or 2 before she can be spayed.

Here they are at 16 weeks old.
This is the boy, Tony Tigger. He's so sweet, and he demands lots of attention!
Unfortunately, once again the lighting is all wrong and I've got a reflection from the flash on the eyes.
This is Zoe. The kittens had a lot of problems because of my hand feeding them - they had colic and their little tummies would fill up with air, and I'd have to use a feeding tube to draw out the excess air. Lost a lot of sleep, getting up twice during the night for feedings. I was so afraid I would lose them, but they were so strong they pulled through anyway! One day I asked them what they would like their names to be - immediately "Zoe" popped into my head for the little girl, so that's what she's called. She's very sweet and loves to cuddle.
