Here is our newest little show cat.  Sunshine is a handsome boy, who looks exactly like his dad - in a different color!  Like his dad, he'll climb in my lap every chance he gets just to hang out.
Sunshine has really enjoyed going to the shows.  He seems to think they were created for his enjoyment!  It's so much fun to show a cat who enjoys it.

"Sunshine Superman"

Sunshine is CFA's Best Fawn Somali for the 2007-2008 season, and the Southwest Region's Best Somali kitten

In addition, Sunshine is TICA's best Fawn Somali for the 2008-2009 season, Southwest Region's best Somali
and
15th best Longhair Cat
The photos below are Sunshine as a kitten.  Above are his adult pictures.
Sunshine is a gorgeous fawn boy.  He earned his CFA Grand Champion and his TICA Quadruple Grand Champion titles, and then we discovered that he has food allergies.  He's allergic to all kinds of grains that are put in cat foods, and also brewer's yeast.  Since cats are carnivores, those grains are not really necessary in a cat's diet.  So we feed him a raw food diet with no grains, and we have found a few kinds of canned foods without grains and yeast we can use when traveling.  We haven't been able to find a dry food Sunshine can eat.
Because Sunshine is such a handsome boy and enjoys showing so much, we'd really like to find a show home for him.  It's true not all judges care for this rare color, but Sunshine has  already won over several judges who didn't think they would ever see a fawn they'd like.  And regardless of color, Sunshine is a great ambassador for the Somali breed - the sun is always shining wherever he goes.
