The kittens have names!  I have decided to name this litter on a theme - the characters in a series of mystery novels I have had lots of fun reading!  The author is Elizabeth Peters, and the novels take place in Egypt starting in the 1890's.  The first novel is called "Crocodile on the Sandbank".
The main character of this series is Amelia Peabody, a 19th century feminist with a passion for Egyptian archeology.   We are naming this little girl after Amelia, since she seems to have an opinion on every subject and never hesitates to express it, like the Amelia in the stories.

In the stories, Amelia has a cat named Bastet.  She is never called "Bastet" but is always referred to as "The Cat Bastet".  This is the name of the bigger of our 2 ruddy girls.
Sunfox The Cat Bastet
The other 2 characters whose names we are using come into the story in later books.  I'm not going to explain the relationships - I don't want to spoil it if you decide to read the series.

The last character whose name we have chosen doesn't show up until a later book, "The Last Camel Died at Noon".   This is the smaller of our 2 ruddy girls.
